INNOVATION FACTORY 2023
A unique opportunity to get to know L’Oréal and learn more about the many careers it has to offer around innovation and tech.

Nearly 200 ESCP students participated in L'Oréal’s 2023 Innovation Factory, an annual event brought by the L'Oréal Professorship in Creativity & Marketing that gives students the unique opportunity to get to know L’Oréal and learn more about the many careers it has to offer around innovation and tech.

The event allows students to:

  • research and developing insights is not just a phase: it feeds, nurtures, inspires and challenges the whole journey all the way to execution and beyond. Documenting this journey is key;
  • communities grow and evolve: forecasting what a community is ready to absorb and experience now is important, but planning what's next is even better.  In a way, be “flawsome” rather than flawless;
  • “what-if” scenarios are the best way to be both humble and facts-driven: they help open up a way to how different stakeholders will embrace and eventually own your approach.

Commenting on the significance of the event, Prof. Marie Taillard, L'Oréal Professor of Creativity Marketing, said:

Participating in the Innovation Factory gives students a chance to discover the many different facets of what a career at a beauty tech company might be like, and what opportunities it might give them to develop as professionals at a truly cutting-edge consumer products company. Thanks to our outstanding partnership, students get a chance to live the L'Oréal experience for a day!

As Stefanie Messner, L’Oréal Talent Acquisition Director, said, “The 2023 Innovation Factory event with ESCP proved to be once again a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with students. This highly interactive annual get-together consists of a day packed with conferences, talks and exchanges between ESCP students and L’Oréal employees in different countries. This year we built our agenda around the topics of innovation, digital and sustainability with the aim of allowing students to gain an authentic understanding of our strategies, commitments and concrete initiatives, as well as the challenges we are facing. Last but not least, within the context of L’Oréal4Youth, the event fosters youth employability and gives participants additional insights into career opportunities at L’Oréal."
