Minas N. Kastanakis is Professor of Marketing, Director of Research at ESCP Europe's London campus, and Editor-in-Chief of the European Management Journal. He holds a PhD in Management (Cass Business School, City University), an MBA with Distinction (University of London) and a Law Degree (LLB, University of Athens).
Professor Kastanakis is a world-renowned expert in luxury consumption and luxury products' management. His other research interests revolve around personality and signalling; cross-cultural consumer behavior; psychoanalysis, consumerism, and ethics. His scientific output includes many articles in leading academic journals, as well as a large number of conference announcements, for which he has received several Best Conference Paper Awards.
Currently, he serves as Editor-in-Chief for the European Management Journal; and he has been a Guest Editor for the Journal of Business Research. He is a founder member of ESCP Europe's Happiness & Management Research Centre, conducting research on the drivers of happiness.
In addition to his academic profile, Minas is a trained and qualified Barrister and has extensive managerial and consulting experience with large corporations, such as L'Oreal or the Richemont Group of luxury companies; as well as companies and governmental organisations in the UK, Greece, Russia and S. Korea.
