Isaac Getz is an author, conference speaker, and currently holds the post of Professor in Leadership and Innovation at ESCP Business School.

He has been Visiting Professor at Cornell University, Stanford University and at the University of Massachusetts. He graduated in Computer Science, then obtained a M.Sc. in Management Science, a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-doctoral degree (HDR) in Management.

Dr. Getz conducts research and publishes on diverse topics related to innovation, corporate transformation, employee engagement, liberatind company and liberating leadership.

He is an active speaker on the topics of innovation, liberating leadership, corporate transformation, and employee initiative. He has given executive conferences and training seminars for numerous companies and organizations. His work on innovation and corporate transformation has brought him into over three hundred companies on four continents.

In 2003, Dr. Getz co-authored with Alan Robinson a book entitled InnovationsPOWER in German (also published in French, Dutch, Italian and Spanish). It was one of the 3 finalists for the annual Manpower Best Book Award in France.

In 2009, Dr. Getz has published in California Management Review an article “Liberating Leadership” in which he has conceptualized the notions of the freedom-based company and of the liberating leader. In 2010, the article has won the Syntec Annual Award for the best academic paper in the category Management/HR/Organization.

That same year, he has co-authored with Brian Carney a book Freedom, Inc. (Crown Business/Random House). In 2012, the book has been translated to French and won the annual DCF Best Book Award in the Strategy category. The book has also appeared in a dozen other countries.

In 2016, Dr. Getz has published a book La liberté, ça marche! (Flammarion) in which, for the first time in France, he has introduced the writings of James MacGregor Burns, Robert Greenleaf, John Wooden, and others. It was a finalist for the annual DCF Book Award in France.

In 2017, he published a book L'entreprise liberée (Fayard), in which he discusses various aspects of the liberated company philosophy and its applications in business, education, and society. The book won the Best Business Book Rotary award in 2018.

In 2018, Isaac co-authored with Bob Davds and Brian Carney a book Leadership without ego (Palgrave Macmillan) on the servant leadership philosophy based on the experience of the emblematic CEO Bob Davids.

In 2019, Isaac co-authored with Laurent Marbacher a book L'Entreprise altruiste (Alabin Michel) on the companies which serve unconditionally through their core business processes their ecosystem members, and as a result, thrive.
