With a passion for diversity and a love for the unknown, Edoardo<\/a>, from Italy, discusses what motivated him to pursue an MBA<\/a> and how ESCP’s inclusive atmosphere was a major draw for him. From his experiences on the London and Paris campuses, he also shares his insights on the differences between the various educational systems and how ESCP’s focus on practical learning has helped him develop the skills necessary for success in the international business world.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello Edoardo, can you tell us what motivated you to pursue an MBA?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Edoardo Peruzzi, MBA student:<\/strong> My passion for the unknown and diverse has always been a crucial factor in my decision-making process. This was the reason why I left my first job in Italy to move to the north of England. In search of a dynamic life, I learned how to interact with people from different cultures and incorporate elements of their customs into my own.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0I appreciated how we not only learned theory but also applied it to real-world situations through case studies, simulations, and projects.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>Edoardo Peruzzi, MBA Class of 2023<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

However, after working for a few years in a mid-sized British city, I realised that I was facing the same challenge I had experienced in Italy. Living in places dominated by single cultures made me feel like an outsider, rather than the Italian culture itself (which I adore in many ways). This is why the diverse and inclusive atmosphere of ESCP was so appealing to me<\/strong>. As a student, I was thrilled by the prospect of learning from more than twenty different nationalities. From day one, I was exposed to a wide range of perspectives that broadened my horizons and made me question the assumptions I had formed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea of attending a prestigious higher education institution like ESCP was both appealing and intimidating. Coming from a technical rather than a business background, I realised that I had a lot to learn. But I was resolved to make the most of this opportunity and acquire the competencies necessary to thrive in the international business world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Italian student, what aspects of your experience at ESCP have impressed you the most?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since I was already living in the UK and visiting London on a weekly basis, the transition to the London Campus was very smooth. The main difference I noticed from an educational point of view was the contrast with the \u00ab\u00a0Italian method,\u00a0\u00bb which is very theoretical and based mainly on books. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What advice would you give to an Italian student who wants to study in Europe or join ESCP?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I would encourage any fellow Italian students considering studying at ESCP to take the leap and embrace this transformative experience. Yes, it can be challenging at times, but it is also incredibly rewarding.<\/strong> Don’t be afraid to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone. There is an entire world to discover, and you should take advantage of the numerous opportunities provided by ESCP.<\/strong> Most importantly, remember to have fun and enjoy the journey!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
