The transition to university education requires several needs to coexist, including the aspirations and orientation of the students themselves, the values \u201d\u2039\u201d\u2039of the family and the needs of the world of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We spoke with the parents of some of our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lp-federal.escp.eu\/en\/undergraduate\/bachelor-in-management-bsc\/?utm_source=bsc-blog&amp;utm_medium=article&amp;utm_campaign=federal_bsc_ag_2024-2025&amp;utm_content=Parents+advice\" target=\"_blank\">Bachelor in Management (BSc)<\/a>&nbsp;students to gain deeper insight into how they experienced this pivotal moment. The occasion and setting could not have been more special: the <strong>Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2023<\/strong> at the MOA Hotel in <strong>Berlin<\/strong>. It was a day filled with emotions, a moment of celebration and reflection\u201dperfect for looking back on the journey and appreciating how far they had come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"ESCP Bachelor in Management (BSc): Parents&#039; Advice - Vol. 4\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cgCXI_Lpa34?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:6px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choosing a bachelor&rsquo;s degree. A decision taken in the family<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Choosing a university is not just a personal decision; <strong>it often involves the entire family<\/strong>. It is a milestone that shapes not only a student&rsquo;s academic path but also their personal growth and future opportunities. For parents, the choice to send their children abroad for higher education is filled with excitement, hope, and, naturally, a bit of apprehension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For some families, the idea of studying abroad was always part of the plan. For others, the journey began with research, recommendations, and a leap of faith. <strong>Iris H<em>\u00c3\u00b6<\/em>ssl<\/strong> describes this transformative experience from a parent&rsquo;s perspective: <em>\u201dSending our children abroad and seeing them grow year after year in different locations is an exciting journey for both parents and students. It is a unique experience that teaches them independence, resilience, and adaptability.\u201d<\/em> Witnessing their children navigate different cultures, develop new skills, and build confidence is both rewarding and reassuring for parents who initially faced doubts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all parents were familiar with <strong>ESCP<\/strong> before their children applied, and for many, the decision required careful deliberation. <strong>Neeta Yadav<\/strong> recalls her own search for the right programme: <em>\u201dI was searching for a business programme that would be the right fit for my son. When I discovered ESCP, I asked for opinions from professionals and young graduates. Many of them strongly recommended ESCP because of its unique international approach. The reasons of a choice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For many families, <strong>ESCP<\/strong> stands out not just for its academic excellence, but for the <strong>life-changing journey<\/strong> it offers. The opportunity to study across multiple countries, interact with peers from diverse backgrounds, and gain hands-on exposure to international business is what truly sets the programme apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Anna Mens\u00c3\u00a0<\/strong> highlights the transformative impact of this experience: <em>\u201dBeing immersed in an international environment, being in contact with people from all over the world, allows students to grow not only from an academic perspective but also personally and culturally.\u201d<\/em> The ability to engage with different worldviews and approaches fosters adaptability, resilience, and open-mindedness\u201dskills that are increasingly vital in today&rsquo;s globalised workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond academics, studying in different countries challenges students to adjust to new environments, navigate various business cultures, and become more independent. <strong>Naresh Yadav<\/strong> emphasises the significance of this exposure: <em>\u201dIt is a great opportunity for students to learn different ways of working, different management styles, and to develop the ability to adapt to various cultural environments.\u201d<\/em> These experiences help <strong>shape students into professionals<\/strong> who can thrive in diverse workplaces and lead with confidence in international settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of such an education extends far beyond the classroom. It is a daunting yet rewarding process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, allowing a child to live alone in several foreign countries at such a young age is not always easy, as <strong>Keiko Wilde<\/strong> admitted: <em>\u201dFrom a mother&rsquo;s perspective, it was difficult to let go, but it was absolutely worth it. We often feel the need to overprotect our children, but we should let them explore the world and build their own valuable experiences.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many families, this journey is transformative not just for the students but for the parents as well. <strong>J<em>\u00c3\u00b6<\/em>rg H<em>\u00c3\u00b6<\/em>ssl <\/strong>added: <em>\u201dSeeing our children move to a new country every year is a challenge, but also a fantastic opportunity.
