Lorenzo recognised the potential. Seven years after graduating in 2018, his choice has been more than rewarded. Today, he works in Milan as Senior Manager Media Sales <\/strong>at Infront<\/strong>, one of the world\u2019s leading sports marketing and media agencies, after international roles in London and Berlin and a prestigious Master of Science from Columbia University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His story represents more than a personal achievement. It mirrors the growth and identity of the Bachelor in Management (BSc)<\/strong> itself. As the programme took shape across Europe, Lorenzo and his peers became its earliest ambassadors, proving through their careers what this degree had been designed to enable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Back in 2015, the Bachelor in Management (BSc) was in its inaugural year. Choosing it meant believing in a new educational format: one that blended academic excellence, cultural immersion and mobility across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI was actually one of the last among my classmates to join the programme,\u201d <\/em>Lorenzo recalls. He had initially been set on studying in the UK. But a conversation with his cousin, who had attended an ESCP Open Day, changed everything. \u201cI had never even heard of ESCP before he mentioned it,\u201d<\/em> he admits. What followed was a complete change of direction in the space of just two weeks, right after his final school exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why take such a risk? Lorenzo already had a clear ambition in mind. \u201cI knew I wanted to work in sports, and I felt that a degree combining different countries, cultures and experiences would help my application stand out later on.\u201d<\/em> It was a strategic bet<\/strong>, designed not just to get him through university, but to prepare him for the postgraduate path he had already set his sights on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That instinct paid off: when he later applied to Columbia University<\/strong>, the international nature of the Bachelor was a decisive factor. \u201cThey told me explicitly that the multi-campus experience strengthened my application compared with others,\u201d<\/em> he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Moving across Europe at 18 is not always seamless. Lorenzo describes his first year in London as \u201ca bit of a shock\u201d<\/em>, despite previous short experiences abroad. Yet this is exactly where the Bachelor\u2019s distinctive model proved transformative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThose three years were like an advanced course in total flexibility,\u201d<\/em> he says. Navigating life in London<\/strong>, then studying in Turin<\/strong>, then adapting once again in Berlin<\/strong> created a rhythm of change that strengthened his adaptability<\/strong>, a skill increasingly valued by employers. \u201cWhen recruiters ask whether I\u2019m comfortable relocating or adapting to new environments, I always say: just look at my background.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n And this is not incidental. It is by design<\/strong>. The Bachelor in Management (BSc) builds adaptability by placing students in different cultural and academic contexts, guided by a common structure<\/strong> and shared learning expectations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Academically, the London year stood out. \u201cCourses and professors pushed us to rethink how we wrote, presented and worked in teams. It was very different from the Italian system: less formal, more solution-oriented.\u201d<\/em> Those foundations shaped his entire academic pathway, even as he encountered varied teaching styles in Turin and Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the cohort experience<\/strong> mattered just as much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur group bonded immediately. We were the first ones, so that created a strong sense of unity.\u201d <\/em>Many friendships and professional ties formed during those years are still alive today. A living demonstration of the Bachelor\u2019s ability to build networks<\/strong> that extend well beyond graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unlike many classmates, Lorenzo chose to apply directly to a master\u2019s programme after graduating. The transition was not entirely smooth: at the time, moving from ESCP to an American university involved logistical hurdles and paperwork no one had dealt with before. \u201cI was probably the guinea pig for everyone who came after,\u201d<\/em> he laughs. But it worked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n At Columbia University, he completed a Master of Science in Sports Management<\/strong>, aiming to finish as quickly as possible. The degree gave him the technical foundation and credibility needed to break into a notoriously competitive sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His first roles, however, were already taking shape thanks to the internships he had completed during each year of his BSc. From Milan to Madrid to Berlin, he explored consultancy<\/strong>, digital marketing<\/strong>, and tech. Experiences that would later prove valuable on the analytical and commercial sides of sports media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After Columbia, Lorenzo returned to Europe, beginning his career in London as a Media Analyst<\/strong> in the sports industry. It was there that he discovered the niche that would define his trajectory: media and audiovisual rights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI stumbled into it almost by chance, but once I did, it clicked immediately,\u201d<\/em> he says.
