Among many other habits,<strong> our working practices have changed<\/strong> (maybe forever), and <strong>technology<\/strong> is central to this revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certain technological advances are likely to exacerbate the issue of youth unemployment. Let&rsquo;s think about eCommerce platforms replacing physical stores or robots employed in manufacturing. Business leaders worldwide are <strong>changing strategies<\/strong> to keep up, making it important for those who want to thrive (rather than just survive) to become <strong>technologically-literate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/01\/future-of-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> 2020 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting<\/a>, in fact, it emerged that: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 10 years time, 50% of jobs will be changed by automation &#8211; but only 5% eliminated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9 out of 10 jobs will require digital skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Although this may come as a drastic change to many, change also brings<strong> opportunities<\/strong>; <em>greater access to information<\/em>, <em>new sources of income and jobs<\/em>, <em>meaningful work<\/em>, <em>lifelong learning<\/em>, and <em>collaboration<\/em> on a global scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Bachelor in Management (BSc)<\/strong> evolves in response to the changing economy and prepares students with core skills needed for future jobs. ESCP graduates are particularly well-placed and trained to operate as successful managers in up-and-coming tech fields. Many say <strong>ongoing soft skill acquisition is essential<\/strong> in today&rsquo;s \u201dnew normal\u201d workplace. To the point that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/74d3c16a-1f35-11ea-92da-f0c92e957a96\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Financial Times<\/a> included soft skills among the <strong>5 essential abilities to succeed in the 2020s<\/strong>, encouraging young people to develop, above all, <strong>emotional intelligence<\/strong>. Even managers in high-tech companies rely, more than ever before, on both technical and soft skills to do their jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where non-business Bachelor programme modules such as <strong>Introduction to Psychology and Sociology<\/strong> and  <a href=\"https:\/\/escp.eu\/blog-bachelor\/the-value-of-intercultural-skills-from-the-classroom-to-the-global-workplace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Intercultural Skills<\/strong><\/a> come in, through which students will need to hone soft skills such as active listening and interpersonal skills. <br><strong>Teamwork<\/strong>, <strong>creative thinking<\/strong>, <strong>adaptability<\/strong>, as well as <strong>project and time management<\/strong> are all equally hallmarks of ESCP graduates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of the technology used in the world of business and elsewhere, companies still need CEOs.
