Wanda Mimra is an Associate Professor of Economics at ESCP, with a research focus on markets with information problems.
She specifically investigates the consequences of information problems and regulatory and market design solutions in healthcare and insurance markets. In her research, Wanda Mimra uses both theoretical and experimental methods, including lab and field experiments.
For her research, Wanda Mimra has received several awards, including the 2021 Research Award of the German Association of Health Economics, the SCOR-EGRIE Young Economist Award (2018), and the EARIE 2013 Young Economist Essay Award. Wanda Mimra currently serves as an Associate Editor at the Geneva Risk and Insurance Review and is a Board member of the European Group of Risk & Insurance Economists.
Before joining ESCP in September 2021, Wanda Mimra was an Assistant Professor of Risk and Insurance Economics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and an Associate Professor of Economics at IESEG School of Management, France. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cologne, Germany, and previously worked at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., USA.
